Proclaim Christ 2012
As you may be aware this coming autumn, a Synod on the New Evangelisation is taking place in Rome, and on the 11th of October
2012, the Year of Faith, called for by Pope Benedict XVI, begins. In response to these events the Tine Catholic Leaders Network for the New Evangelisation is planning a one day Conference and Expo on the New Evangelisation on Saturday 24th November 2012. Th e conference will take place at the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin.
The Vision
The vision of the day is to promote the New Evangelisation in Ireland, and to provide a show case for the various ministries involved in Evangelisation. The day will also highlight resources which are available to dioceses and parishes to respond to the Popes’ call for a New Evangelisation. There will be talks, workshops and exhibitions throughout the day and the event will conclude with Mass, offered for a New Springtime in the Church in Ireland.
The Invitation
At this time we are inviting ministries, communities and groups, to consider exhibiting at the event, running a workshop/seminar, or promoting their services as part of the exhibition. The name of the event is “Proclaim Christ 2012”, and it is taking place at the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin 22. His Excellency Charles Brown, Papal Nuncio for Ireland will be the main celebrant at Mass and Deacon Harold Burke an internationally popular Catholic speaker will be the keynote speaker.
How can you get involved?
Do you have a resource, a training course, a programme, a ministry team, which can be used in Ireland for the New Evangelisation, then “Proclaim Christ 2012” will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase it. Whether its focus, is on youth ministry, schools ministry, parish ministry, marriage preparation/enrichment, media, third level education, business, “Proclaim Christ 2012” could provide you with an excellent opportunity to let others know about it.
